75 minutes from the first validation

In order to be valid, the BIT ticket must always be stamped at the beginning of the bus ride or upon entering the subway platform (before the 75-minute expiration, the ticket must be re-stamped in oder to remain valid for the entire trip). Validating machines are located: on the buses, trams, the Roma-Pantano and Roma-La Giustiniana trains, subway turnstile entrances, Roma-Lido trains and FS trains.

The BIT ticket must be conserved until the carrier has arrived at its destination, and shown, upon request, to the ticket inspector.

To validate the pass, the pass-holder must complete the relevant information on the pass (personal information and the week for which the pass is to be used).

The CIS pass must be shown, upon request, to the ticket inspector.

The pass can be purchased up to the 5th of the month of validity at any sales outlet. After the 6th, the pass is only sold at official sales outlets.

Reserved to the following categories of the public resident in Rome and holding an Atac pass confirming this right:
- disabled over 67%
- disabled for work reasons over 67%
- disabled with right of accompaniment
- service disabled from the 1st to the 5th category
- pensioners or social-security cheque recipients (INPS category 'AS' or 'PS')

To obtain the Atac pass, applicants must:
- present the documentation and 4 photos to the Atac Accounting Department in Via Gaeta 78, open from Monday to Fryday 8.30 am -1.00 pm, Tuesday and Thursday also from 2.00 pm to 3.45 pm.

LIST OF DOCUMENTS TO ATTACH TO THE APPLICATION FOR THE 'METREBUS ROMA' REDUCED RATE

1. Certificate of Residence on plain paper or a substitute statement by the person concerned, to be made upon application, confirming residence in the city of Rome;
2. Photocopy of identification document;
3. 4 pass-size photos;
4. Fiscal Code and telephone number;
5. For the disabled over 67%: Authenticated copy of the measure by which the Administration, having jurisdiction, assigns privileged status for the disability incurred in service from category I to V or a substitute statement by the same Administration
6. For the service disabled from category I to V: Authenticated copy of the minutes of the collective examination by the health commission for recognition of the state of disability regarding sight and deaf-mute status according to the law in force;
7. For the disabled and invalids for work reasons: Certification issued by the INAIL confirming disability for Work reasons over 67%;
8. For disabled servicemen: Copy of Form 69 issued by the Provincial Dept. for War Pensions of the Treasury Ministry or an authenticated copy of this Form;
9. For social-security pensioners: Authenticated copy of Form 0/BIS M, I.N.P.S. pensioner category 'AS' or 'PS', for current year. Personal Pass: The customer must write the personal details requested on the montly pass. The pass must be shown upon demand to control personnel, with the Atac pass confirming the right to the reduction.
WARNING: The following categories are allowed a network-wide pass issued by Atac without the payment of any fee (after submitting the necessary documentation):
- injured and disabled servicemen from category 1 to 8
- those awarded the gold medal for Military Valour
- those awarded the 'Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto' decoration
