Free-of-charge movement on COTRAL out-of-town and city bus lines |

The following types of passengers are allowed to travel free-of-charge.
For movement due to service reasons on public transport vehicles per Art. 2 of L.r. 30/1998, as replaced by the current Law, public safety agents and officials, those belonging to the Carabinieri, Police Force, Penitentiary Police, Finance Police, Municipal Police and other forces of order and public safety may use the service card issued by their respective headquarters.
For those belonging to the Municipal Police, movement is limited to transport services carried out in the municipal area.
Where it is necessary to possess electronic tickets to use public transport, the companies running the services, that is the individual managers of the ticketing system issue free-of-charge movement tickets to those concerned upon request from their respective headquarters. For movement on public transport vehicles for service reasons by the organisations stated above, the provisions of Art. 33 of L.r. 30/1998 do not apply and no refund is needed to the companies running the public transport. |

A) TICKET IRREGULARITY - 4CTB / 5CTB |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Whoever is found by the inspection staff to be without a ticket (for themselves, animals or baggage) or with an irregular ticket incurs in an administrative sanction ranging from 51.00 to 258.00 Euros (Art. 1 of Regional Law dated January 13th 1998 no. 3) as well as the payment of the ticket evaded from the departure terminal to the arrival destination
For all effects, the passenger is considered to not have a ticket when: |

.:: he/she presents the ticket or season ticket with visible signs of alteration and forgery |

.:: he/she presents a season ticket that does not correspond to the documentation required |

.:: he/she uses an ordinary ticket or season ticket on special connections that require a specific ticket |

.:: he/she presents a personalised season ticket type that has not been filled in correctly or it is not accompanied with an identification document |

.:: he/she presents a ticket that is no longer in use |

B) PROHIBITIONS - MODEL 4 CTB/ BIS |

The model 4 CTB/bis makes a concise reference to Law D.P.R. 753/80 for the sanctions that are to be applied whenever there are infringements of: |

Art. 28 NO SMOKING

Art. 28 prescribes that smoking is forbidden in railway compartments and vehicles as a single environment that are not reserved for smokers in public transport vehicles, whether they be air, land, funicular or metropolitan, as well as in the waiting rooms in stations and stops.
IN CONFORMITY TO ART. 28 OF THE DECREE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, NO. 753 DATED 1980;
OF ART. 1 OF THE ITALIAN LAW DATED NOVEMBER 11th 1975, NO. 584, SUBSEQUENT INTEGRATIONS AND MODIFICATIONS, IT IS FORBIDDEN TO SMOKE ON BOARD IN ANY PUBLIC TRANSPORT VEHICLE.
THE TRANSGRESSORS OF THE AFORE-STATED LAWS ARE SUBJECT TO ADMINISTRATIVE SANCTIONS RANGING FROM € 27.50 TO € 275.00. THIS AMOUNT WILL BE DOUBLED, WHATEVER THE VIOLATION, IF IT IS COMMITTED IN THE PRESENCE OF A WOMAN WHO IS CLEARLY PREGNANT OR IN THE PRESENCE OF BABIES OR CHILDREN UP TO THE AGE OF 12 YEARS, AS ESTABLISHED BY PARAGRAPH 1 OF ART. 7 OF THE AFORE-STATED LAW

Art. 29 provides for the sanction of users who damage, deteriorate or dirty the vehicles.
Exemptions can be applied if these acts are carried out by those who are taken ill suddenly, it being understood that there is an obligation to compensate any damages caused. |

| |
Finally, Art. 30 forbids people who are not expressly authorised by the company to conduct sales of goods or services on the vehicles as well in the stations and at the stops.
It is also forbidden to carry out the activities of singing, playing instruments or similar and to collect money of any type. |
